young european improvisers festival – days 1 & 2
After a break in 2020, The Art of Improvisation now returns to the Resonanzraum with a large international line-up and the Young European Improvisers Festival. Together with 26 great young musicians from 14 countries we celebrate a two-day festival of improvisation.
This year’s program forgoes the usual dialogue between the generations and brings together all the young musicians who have been guests of The Art of Improvisation in past years and who have contributed decisively to the success of our concert series for a celebration of improvisation, friendship, and solidarity. We want to send a signal that despite all past and present obstacles, creative community is a necessary prerequisite not only for our art form but ultimately for all human culture.
The audience can expect not only a celebration of reunion and the creative recapture of the stage after the lock-downs, but also a dazzling and exciting musical program in various lineups and between all styles, directions, and forms of performance of contemporary improvisational music.
